UCSF students may be eligible for the following programs below.

Affordable Connectivity Program

With the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program, you can save up to $30/month on your internet service and receive upto $100 device discount for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)

Only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household. Not every internet company offers device discounts.

Eligibility

  • Enrolled in government programs like CalFresh, Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, etc.
  • Participate in FCC Lifeline.
  • Recieve Pell Grant
  • Have a household income of $55,500 or less for a family of four.

The Affordable Connectivity Program applications are now closed. Please review the website periodically for updates. 

CalFresh Program
  • Government-funded food assistance program that issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores
  • Some students are eligible to receive up to $281 per month in benefits

  • The online application takes only about 10 minutes to complete
