Basic Needs and Food Security for Students

As a participant in the University of California Global Food Initiative, UC San Francisco has established the Food Security for Students (FSFS) Program to develop and implement services and resources that address UCSF student nutrition and food insecurity.

New! Remote Access Food Program

UCSF Basic Needs & Food Security is piloting a new program to address food needs for students that are unable to access the weekly Student Food Market at Mission Bay & Parnassus. Currently enrolled students who are on rotations outside of the Bay Area or whose courses, clinics, or labs do not permit them to utilize the Student Food Market may apply for the Remote Food Access Program. Students may apply online and will be notified in early March if selected for the one-time program to receive assistance with groceries remotely. Continuation of the program is dependent on usage and funding. Application deadline is February 22.
